Severe Weather
Special Projects: Our Products
Floods
Flooding of solar farms is becoming more common as the effects of climate change result in larger and more frequent severe weather events. Last year saw an unprecedented number of hurricanes and storms in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic U.S., with a resulting impact on solar assets in the region.
Fires
Of all the severe weather threats facing solar installations in the American West and Southeast, brushfires present some of the most complex restoration challenges. Unlike hail or wind events — where the damage is largely mechanical — fire affects solar assets in multiple ways simultaneously, and not all of it is visible from the ground.
