FINDING THE RIGHT SOLUTION

In the early days of solar, it was common for the original EPC contractor to provide a custom racking system for installations. Over the years this has resulted in widespread defects, catastrophic failures, and ultimately put many solar contractors out of business.

Today, there are numerous affordable options for solar racking to meet the needs of any project. Our design team will work closely with you to plan, source, and execute a revised racking system that can fit the form factor, structural integrity, and energy density needs of the site while maintaining proper grounding and wire management.

COMMON CAUSES OF RACKING ISSUES

  • Parts are not compatible

  • Systems aren't properly torqued

  • Systems used for climates they weren't intended for corrosion

  • Insufficient cross bracing

  • Excessive spans

  • Systems not designed for correct wind speed

  • Parts loosen over time

  • Bolts seize up during disassembly - this is true for Sunlink

  • Racking manufacturers is no longer in business, or it's impossible to find compatible parts for older generations of racking systems like PanelClaw. Often the best solution for large scale removal projects is to replace the existing racking system. We'll buy it from the owner and keep it for replacement parts on future projects.
